La boutique se termine petit a petit. Le meuble pour couper le tissu va venir du Canada. Il a ete fait par Glen Anderson. Encore quelques rouleaux de tissus a faire et quelques objets, 1 ou 2 chaises et je pourrai passer a la suite...

Le temps passe vite et je n'ai pas eu le temps d'ajouter de nouvelles pages a mon journal.

Les travaux ont avance: la piece au premier etage a un parquet, une porte, une cheminee, un lustre et des appliques. Fabriquer des lustres va m'occuper dans l'avenir:on peut trouver toutes les fournitures a Chinatown. Une bonne loupe, des gestes precis et c'est parti!

La boutique, un tailleur en bas a son sol, une partie des etageres et les rouleux de tissus.

J'ai volontairement efface un peu de la peinture publicitaire du mur du cote pour lui donner un cote un peu plus "usee".

L'eclairage fonctionne parfaitement! :)

I have just received my order from France today (wooden floors, internal doors) so I will be able to show you more about my project soon.
In the meantime I have made my first chandelier. What do you think? I am planning to make more as I enjoyed doing that one.

And a week ago, I finished another shopwindow for my second project.

Behind my project shophouse are two Thai "Houses of Spirits" which can be seen everywhere in Thailand. House spirits live there and protect the house. Thai people worship them everyday with incense and flowers or food. My spirits are very friendly. A glimpse of my garden behind!

The room will be a study in the early XXth century.

I got the fireplace from the London Dollhouse Festival in May. I painted it in a grey marble.
I also got the streetlamp from there. So many gifted artist. I was really impressed by Orsi from Hungary. The quality of her work is just amazing, so is her blog. This is what gave me the idea of starting this blog.
I made the mirror and the decoration above because the wall above the chimney looked very empty.

Upstairs will be a bedroom of a maid, or something like that.

a French roof window called "oeil de boeuf"

As the sidewall looked a bit dull, I painted a commercial for an old French Aperitif, Dubo...Dubon...Dubonnet.

I used acrylic paintings and I am quite happy with the result.

The box is now made from10mm plywood.
I have now returned from France with the shophouse in my luggage. Everything has made it. I carried the facade with me in the aircraft.

I have now painted the shopfront in dark grey and I have aged the wall on the first floor.
